The Foreword Bootcamp · Cohort 04 · Starts 11 August

Six weeks. One craft. A new role.

The Foreword Bootcamp trains marketers to operate AI workflows at the speed modern content demands, with the judgment of a senior editor. Graduates leave with a placement at one of our partner companies, on the day they finish.

Why this exists

A new role is forming. Nobody is training for it yet.

For the last two years, every marketing team has been told to learn AI. Most of them have learned a few prompts and called it a day. The work that gets shipped looks the same. The reader scrolls past it just as fast.

The role that actually moves output is not a prompt engineer and not a copywriter. It is a Forward Deployed Creative. Someone who can hold a brand voice in their head, run a stack of agents, edit faster than they can write, and make decisions that an agent should not be making alone. The companies who have figured this out are quietly outshipping everyone else.

The bootcamp exists because the role exists, the demand is here, and the supply is two years behind. We are training the supply.

Curriculum

Six weeks, six skills, one role.

Real work, real clients, real output, from week two. We are training the role, not selling a course.

01Week 1

Voice

Capture a brand voice from existing work. Write a charter the agent can hold. Edit your own writing for the patterns that mark a piece as AI-generated, and the patterns that mark it as a person.

  • Voice charter, written from sample corpus
  • Self-editing for AI tells
  • Reading week: Zinsser, Le Guin, Naipaul
02Week 2

Stack

The agent layer. How a workflow is structured, where the human checkpoint lives, what to log, what to ignore. You will rebuild three of our twenty-seven workflows from scratch, and compose two of them into a discipline pipeline that writes back to the knowledge graph.

  • Workflow architecture, end-to-end
  • Prompt design with the sandwich pattern for prompt-injection sandboxing
  • Three workflows rebuilt and shipped; one discipline pipeline composed
03Week 3

Workflows

Run a calendar. Hold a cadence for a month. Learn the difference between speed and panic. Pair with a working FDC for one week of live shadowing.

  • Editorial calendar ownership
  • Cadence and the cost of breaking it
  • Shadow week, live client
04Week 4

Distribution

Content that does not get distributed does not exist. Email, SEO, social, paid, repurposing. The asset that earns its second life.

  • Distribution-first writing
  • Repurposing trees, every channel
  • The Monday digest, end-to-end
05Week 5

Measurement

The numbers that move and the ones that do not. How to read an analytics dashboard like a journalist reads a press release. How to write a monthly report that the CMO actually opens.

  • Reporting agents you operate
  • Numbers that lie, numbers that tell
  • Monthly report, written and presented
06Week 6

Placement

Two days of interviews with our partner companies. Two days of negotiation coaching. One day of contract review. One day off, before you start the role.

  • Partner-company interviews
  • Offer negotiation, real practice
  • Day-one onboarding kit
Who it is for

A specific kind of marketer.

You have shipped marketing for at least three years. You can write. You can edit. You have used AI tools and felt the limits of them. You want a role with more leverage than the one you are in, and you do not want to be a manager to find it.

You are not a prompt engineer and you are not a copywriter. The bootcamp will not turn you into either. It will teach you to be the third thing.

You should apply if

  • You have three or more years in content, brand, growth, or editorial
  • You can write a clean four hundred words without AI
  • You read carefully and edit better than you write
  • You can commit six weeks, full-time
  • You want a placement, not a portfolio

You should not apply if

  • You are looking for a quick certification
  • You want a remote-only, asynchronous course
  • You have no background in writing or editing
  • You are hoping to use the bootcamp as a job board
  • You want the title without the craft
Placements

You graduate with the offer in hand.

Every cohort has more partner-company seats than graduates. The bootcamp is gated; the placements are not.

Placement is at a partner company, full-time, salaried, with Foreword retained as the platform partner. Average starting compensation is in line with senior-marketer roles in the placement city. The bootcamp tuition is refunded if a placement is not offered, in writing, on the day of graduation.

Logistics

The fine print, in regular print.

Tuition

$6,500, paid in two instalments. Half on acceptance, half on day one.

Income-share alternative

If you cannot pay tuition up front, we offer an ISA: 8% of the placement salary for 18 months, capped at $9,000.

Format

Hybrid. Weeks 1, 2, 5 and 6 in-person at our Bangalore or Lisbon studio. Weeks 3 and 4 remote, paired with a working FDC.

Hours

Forty-five hours a week, average. Some weeks are heavier (week 3) and some are lighter (week 6). Treat it like a job.

What you bring

A laptop, a notebook, three pieces of writing you are proud of. Optional: a piece of writing you are not proud of, and want to fix.

What we bring

Stack access, agent licences, faculty time, partner-company introductions, the placement, and a year of post-graduation alumni support.

Apply

A short application. A fast response.

We read every application within five business days. The questions are deliberate; the answers tell us more than a CV would.

We respond within five business days. The bootcamp tuition is refunded if a placement is not offered on graduation.

FAQ

The questions every applicant asks.

Will I be writing for real clients?

Yes, from week two. Every piece you draft is reviewed by a working FDC before it ships. By the end of the bootcamp, you will have shipped between fifteen and twenty pieces under a real brand voice.

What if I am already a senior content lead?

You are exactly who we are looking for. The bootcamp is calibrated to take experienced writers and turn them into FDCs. If you have ten years of writing under your belt, you will move faster, and the placement will be senior.

Is this remote?

Hybrid. Two of the six weeks are remote, the rest are in-person at our Bangalore or Lisbon studio. The in-person weeks are non-negotiable; this is the part of the role that does not transfer over a Zoom call.

What if I do not get a placement?

Tuition refunded, in writing, on the day of graduation. We have not had to issue a refund yet. The honest reason is that we screen the partner-company seats before we screen the cohort.

What is the placement salary?

Compensation varies by placement city and partner. Median starting salary across cohorts one to three has been in line with senior content roles at the same company; in two cases, materially above. We will share the band before you accept the offer.

Can I stay at Foreword instead of a partner placement?

Sometimes. If you finish in the top quarter of the cohort, you may be offered an FDC role with us directly. Most graduates take the partner placement; both paths are real.
